How to change the organization structure
You can change the organization structure by moving departments/regions/companies or by merging departments. You can also delete, but this function should be used carefully. Read more below.
Customers with IFRS-16:
Before moving and merging it is important that both companies shall use the same accounting settings for currency and year of implementation. You can check this under System settings - Contracts - Accounting settings.
You can move e.g. a department below another company, department or region.

Go to Organization.

Drag & drop the department folder onto the folder that shall contain it in the future.

Confirm with Yes, move the department.
The department is now placed under the selected folder.
It is not possible to delete departments that are linked to persons, assets or contracts. In such instances, the Merge function must be used. This function helps maintain the history of what has been registered in the database.

Go to Organization.

Select Merge to the right of the line for the department that shall be merged into another department. Alternatively, use drag&drop.

A dialogue opens: The Subject department is the department to be removed and the Target department is the department it is to merge with. Select the correct departments.

Merge storage directories: We recommend this. Else, the files will be deleted together with the original storage directory (under Files - Explorer)!

Select Merge.
Subject department is now merged into target department.
It is possible to delete departments, regions or companies directly on their detailed card.
Note!
Entries that shall be deleted must not be linked persons, assets or contracts, and they must not have sub-entries. Note that deleting will remove all information and the complete history. Please use this function therefore carefully.
