How to create drafts for contracts

Let's say you know a contract shall be concluded, but it's not signed yet. And you are unsure if it will be February or March. In such a situation you might prefer registering the contract with status Draft instead of Active in CC5.

Tip!
Other users don't have access to your drafts. Drafts are neither included in events or reports.

How to create drafts

  1. Go to Contracts and select + Contract.

  2. Enter the information you know by now. You don't need to fill in mandatory fields. If necessary, you can only enter the title - and register everything else later.

  3. Under Status, select Draft and pick the draft status. This will add a highlighting icon to the top of the contract.

  4. Click Save draft.

The draft is saved. It is added to the list of contracts. Note that you later must add missing information and change the status to Active to activate the contract. Note that you cannot change an active contract back to a draft status.
